Salmon Vol au vents?

Food supplies are running low!!! Payday is next Tuesday!!! But have 2 salmon steaks in the freezer and a pack of vol au vent cases - any ideas?

I would crush the vol-au-vent cases and mix in some herbs (parsley and/or dill). Place the salmon steaks in an oven-proof dish, lightly season and pour over some melted butter. Sprinkle the salmon with the crushed vol-au-vents.


Bake in an oven for 15 minutes at gas mark 6.


Salmon will be perfectly cooked, melt-in-the-mouth, with a crispy flavoursome topping.
