A nine-to-five working day might include an half hour lunch break, typically around 12.30pm to 1.00pm (or in the following half hour), thus fixing the time at which they eat lunch.
After leaving work at 5.00pm, many people will start preparing their evening meal almost as soon as they get home, meaning that they'll probably eat it at somewhere between 6.00pm and 7.00pm.
Many people will just have those three meals but some might want 'a bit of supper' (i.e. a light snack), perhaps an hour or so before going to bed.
Other than that, 'elevenses' (obviously around 11.00am) of, say, coffee and biscuits might be consumed between breakfast and lunch, sometimes with a mid-afternoon break too.
In other countries (or, indeed, in other echelons of society) though, timings might be very different. My friends in Italy would never dream of having dinner before 8pm, which is also the sort of time that 'posh' people in the UK traditionally eat their evening meal (with 'high tea' often filling in the gap between lunch and dinner).
