This has probably been asked before, but what is everyone's favourite sandwich filling? For me it's got to be Pret's tuna mayo with mixed leaves and cucumber or, homemade; the traditional cheese and branston pickle, delicious! Also, the bread used makes all the difference....

Are you entering the Lurpack Sandwich competition by any chance?
Yes, this question has been asked many times before. That won't stop me suggesting a combination I found in a sandwich shop in London. (If you like cheese & Branston, you should really love this one, Eash). It's stilton cheese & mango chutney, served on granary bread. Sounds odd, tastes delicious :-)

Chris

(PS: The cafe at an auction room I visit, serves cream cheese, celery & peanut sandwiches. Nice!)
Hard boiled egg and tomato made up the night before so that the filling goes a bit 'soggy'.
Ceddar cheese, marmite and ready salted crisps with butter on white bread mmmmmm..........
It really depends on how drunk I am. I've been known to have dry pasta and horseradish sandwiches, Onion sandwiches, Rice pudding sandwiches and one particular cold toast topper sandwich that I woke up the next morning in bed with it stuck to my face and in my hair. But as mentioned before cheese and mango chutney is a particular fave. My boyf lurrrrrves fried bread sandwiches!

If it's home made.: Tuna, red onion and mayo sandwich or a cheese and onion crisp and salad cream sandwich, made with a lovely, fresh uncut bloomer or sliced wholemeal bread.

If it's a 'shop bought' sandwich (from Greggs): 'Tuna Crunch'....Mmmmm!!

I used to like strong cheddar, chorizo, salad and very hot chilli sauce. Occasionally I'd substitute the cheddar with Shropshire Blue.
Mmmmm, I sometimes have a sandwich as a meal and if so my favewould be a warm half focaccia with parma ham, sundried tomatoes and a crisp salad.
For a snack something simple like a good stong cheddar and picalilli. Yum!

Wispy68 - I had a tuna crunch from Greggs today for the first time and i hadn't read your answer at that point then either, yum!

I can't say i've ever tried cheese and mango chutney but i'm intrigued to now, thanks for the idea!

curiosity - I'm not entering the Lurpack sandwich comp, i didn't know there was one! Perhaps i should...??

one not surprisingly after you hear it that I put together when pregnant but I still love it. Chicken salad with a mint mayonnaise and sliced strawberries. I also like Brie and mango in a baguette.

Homemade: either salami with cheese spread and coriander or the classic fried egg sarnie wit hbrown sauce

Bought sandwiches: either a steak and cheese sub on Italian herbs and cheese bread from Subway, although I only have this as a very occasional treat, as otherwise I would get addicted to them, or alternatively a feta cheese, black olive and salad baguette from the little sandwich shop near work - they keep the baguettes warm until they put the filling in, so by the time I've got it back to the office the feta has gone slightly melty mmmmmmmmmmmm!

Thinly sliced black pudding with English Mustard and sliced red onion, or smoked trout and horseradish. Got to be Vogel multigrain bread.

Well that's my prejudices out!

my fave sandwich is chicken and mayo but i also like ham pastrami salami and pepperoni with motzarella cheese on cheesy barms yum.......
