what kind of things does she like. If you are not really a good cook i bet your mum would be happy at any effort that you make - perhaps just a pasta with even a shop bought jar of sauce with some nice bread? Lloyd Grossman Sweet pepper sauce is yummy, you can add chicken or bacon or something to it if you like.
