Whats the most unusual food you've eaten?

ive had snails, crocodile fillet (from sainsbury's lol!) shark, barnacles (you lift them from the rocks and eat the inside!) sea urchin, ostrich and rose petals. What weird food has anyone else had?

wow, what does crocodile taste like? i always want to try things like this when i go out to eat but they're always too expensive. wouldn't mind trying kangaroo either. its a bit dull but the weirdest thing i've ever tasted was pate. how does anyone eat that stuff? its vile.
pigs trotter and monkey brains. One on an ill fated business trip in Asia and the other on holiday for a bet. Both were quite nice actually.
I've tried Kangaroo steak......it tasted like....well....steak.....maybe abit richer
i trained at a well known cookery school in london and we were made to try everything....we had snails, frogs legs, eel, crocodile, kangaroo, sea urchin, ostrich, lobster roe!
My fiancees cooking is the most unsual thing i have eaten....no really - different things go in but it comes out the same everytime its very odd,,,,,,!!!! :-) x

I've had witchetty grubs with a peanut sauce and a kangaroo steak. The steak is good if eaten rare/medium rare but it's very easy to overcook.
Various grubs and insects. mainly so small that they don't taste of much.
Sheeps tongue, sheeps brain, and camel (not all at the same time).
I've eaten Dog and Locusts in Hog Kong, but one that I couldn't bring myself to eat, was Dung Beetles wrapped in a sugar coating, and cooked in Coconut chips over an open Brazier, often thought about it, but thats all.

Chicken in white wine cooked by hubby!! Lol .

Deep fried spider in Cambodia.


Huge thing. Didn't eat the legs thank god. Cracked open the body and ate the fleshy bit. Tasted okay.

Sheeps head soup.


Fish heads stuffed with oatmeal (called Ceann Cropaig)


Baby gannet (called Guga)


All local specialities where I am from in the Outer Hebrides, all totally disgusting!!!

Whelks, in glasgow as a child the whelk man used to come round and sell them in a bag with a pin, to get them out of shell we, all loved them. anyone rember this
