Probably the wrong category but never mind! I have been on a healthy eating plan for about 7 weeks now,and although I lost half a stone initially I have now become complacent, and have stayed the same weight for 3 weeks now.I know crash dieting isnt particularly good for you,but I feel I need a boost to get me back on track,as I am thoroughly disheartened. So what would be the best safe crash diet to do for just a few days to lose a few pounds, then I can get back on the sensible plan? Any help appreciated.

I'd stick with the healthy eating and try to burn more calories by exercising more.
Half a stone, that is really great, and you would probably be devastated if you put on weight again after your crash diet.

If you must, though, maybe try the cabbage soup diet.
Just typed it all in another thread, if you search for cabbage, you'll probably find it.

My mother did that one a couple of times and was quite pleased with the results...

Hi Bohne - thanks for that.I have heard about the cabbage soup diet - is that literally all that you eat??

No, read the other thread.
You have as much cabbage soup as you like and then there are certain rules for every day.
One day you can eat meat, one day you only eat fruit, one day vegetables.

It is too much to type all over again, so do check the other thread...

Thanks for that Bohne - I hadnt read your earlier answer properly!

I know the feeling; I lost a stone, then couldn't shift any more for ages.

Try going vegetarian for a whole week, and limiting your calorie intake to about 1000-1500 calories. You can eat loads of vegetables without even approaching this number, so you still feel full. Yeah, you'll miss rare steaks for a while, but you'll lose 3-4 pounds easily.

Probably not healthy to crash-diet, but my reasoning is: the amount of crap I've put through my body over the last few years, it has still managed to keep me alive- so I'm sure it will welcome a few more vegetables and fewer calories...
