Is it my ageing brain or were Toffos originally called Toffo Deluxe (no offence will be taken if you think I'm barmy).
Also, walnut whips are still going strong (my wife never eats the walnut which I love) and she has just brought me a bag of soor plums from New Lanark.
By the way, anybody else tried Jellyatrics?
Sherbet Dip my A-r-s-e. Gef was correct; Bassett Sherbet Fountain (looked a bit like a firework, always made you cough. Why did we call it kaylie?? :-)
What a succesful thread, maybe it will get in the top 10. (We haven't done ice lollies or snacks yet... What about those 'Iced Gems'? (tiny biscuits with a hard candy doodad on top.)

Gef is right, it was definitely called sherbert fountain and was made by Bassets. I loved Pink Panther Bars, and toffos, I loved the way they had the imprint of the paper wrapping on them.
Nutty bars, yeah, loved them, and was Spanish Gold that pretend baccy that you used to get??? If not, what was that called?
And just one last thing, does anyone remember which product was advertised by this song? "There's a new sound sweeping the nation, It comes from the box with a sweet sensation...." In every box there was a little prezzie, but there had to be coz the sweetie was cack!
Sorry to annoy you xyzzyplugh (??? - how did you derive that name?) but Fab and Zoom lollies are still available from Tesco's - in the summer only, of course!
spangles (though didn't they make a comeback?) bullseyes and jap subs (i think they're not allowed to call them that nowadays in our modern perlitically correct society)

Sweet cigarettes which were politcally correctly changed to candy sticks, but havnt seen them around for a while. And King's Oddfellows, those pink and yellow round hard thingy's. Again another politically incorrect name !! The Penny Bubbly, so big you had to chew for 5 minutes to soften it before you could talk again. (or am I really giving my age away?)
