It's easily made using beef fillet, peppercorns, about 150ml of olive oil, and served with salad and parmesan. According to Nigella Lawson's How to Eat, grind the peppercorns using a pestle and mortar; get a grifddle pan really hot; and brush the fillet of beef with olive oil and dredge with peppercorns. Fill a bowl with iced water, put the fillet to sear int the hot pan and give 60 seconds on each side. Plunge seared meat into iced water and leave to cool. When you're ready to eat the meat, take it out of the fridgem, and cut the fillet into thinnish slices and shave parmesan cheese over the chilled beef.
