What does an e next a weight on any food mean? I always thought it meant the approximate weight.

it means 'average' or 'estimate' weight as they know roughly what the weight should be but they are allowed to be 5g over or under :o) T x
It means its in an EU approved size container

depends what type of e. the eu approved e is different to the estimate e
e means net. Just the contents, not including the packaging.
