Hi all
I have been to the big Asda and Sainsburys at poole and Sainsburys at ferndown and Two Large Tescos in Poole, Wah hing Chinese supermaret on the Nuffield and Waitrose in Westbourne and Nothing
You would think that one of them would sell it huh?
Anyway looks like il be paying extortionate p&p rates of the online shop but gotta get some pumpkin - maybe theres a business opportunity there for a local entrepenuer?
thanks to all for the suggestions - if anyone finds it anywhere pleeeeaaaase let me know. xxx

Hi
I'm very new to this. I don't have the answer I'm afraid, but just wondered if you had any joy with the canned pumpkin. I too am trying to track it down in time for Thanksgiving. I tried to make pumpkin pie once using the fresh stuff and swore never again. I live in Southampton. TheRosslyn Delicatessen in Hampstead has been suggested, but I thought I'd try locally first. Everyone I ask looks blank and says they've never heard of it. One guy in Waitrose yesterday asked me if it was sme kind of onion...
Very best wishes

Hi Tweenyb
A friend in the USA recently sent me her two best Pumpkin Pie Recipes - insisting that the fresh ones we buy here are not suitable, Canned Pumpkin is definitely best. After reading your question and seeing that you still haven't found it over the past year, thought you might like to see the response I got from Waitrose Customer Svcs this week:
"I have researched our product assortment database and I am pleased to advise that Libby's Pumpkin (canned) is available in our branches. Should you find that this product is not in stock upon your next visit, please don't hesitate to speak with a member of the Customer Service Team in the branch who would be pleased to order the product in for you. When enquiring about this product in branch, please quote line number 020530."
So - I'm off to get mine and hope it helps you and any other readers desperate for some of that delicious Pumpkin Pie for Thaksgiving this year!! cpb
