Think its really bad that they left it for so long. Apparently Cadburys knew about 5 months ago about the salmonella. But only now taking the chocolates of the shelves.
Thats so true, buttons Easter Eggs were on the list
I didn't see Flakes on the list on the News, but they've disappeared from the shelves. I was absolutely mortified. Had to switch to Mars/Galaxy and its not the same at all!!
Per the paper between March and June there were 45 cases in England and Wales and 8 in Scotland, last year 14 and 2or3 respectfully. Of the 42 cases checked 22 were 4 or under, 8 were 12months or under these are thought to have been infected by older siblings.

Given the amount of chocolate eaten yearly, the infection rate seems extremely low.

How convienient for all those telling us that we are in an obesity crisis and must not eat junk food ie chocolate, huge headlines, Cadburys name tarnished and stock taken of the shelves. There is no genetic footprint yet because the Food Safety experts have not done the test yet they are going to do it now.
Sorry but surely another couple of days doing the test to see if there was a link would not have mattered after all this time. The infection could be a huge range of foods ie cheese, chicken etc still on the shelves.
Does anyone have any idea what sandbach is talking about?
I'd love to get my hands on some of the chocolate which has been recalled, I would eat a bar right now.
