Nando's is a South African 'Portuguese' chicken restaurant, cooking chicken over open flames. Their spciality is 'peri peri;, a chili sauce and when you order your chicken they ask how hot you want it, and pastthe appropriate sauce on.
I didn't know until just recently they had any outlets in the UK and I've not been in any, but I used to eat a lot in SA. One was basically a takeaway, though they had a few tables you could eat your take away at. The other was abig full service restaurant that had a shop and a cooking school in it.
I loved their hot spicy chicken, and decent honest chips, not those horrible McDonald like 'french fries'.
Simple idea, excellently executed. I hope they open a store in St Albans soon.
