Heinz Mayonnaise

I know I'm opening an old can o'worms, but has anyone seen Heinz Mayonnaise for sale anywhere recently. Tesco sold it in 2002, but I'm desperate to buy it and they don't seem to sell it any more.

About a month and a bit ago, someone posted on here that there was a wholesale sized jar of Heinz mayo for sale on E-Bay. I have just had a quick look and can't see any for sale, maybe worth while keeping your eyes open on there from time to time.
Failing that maybe if you e-mailed Heinz they might be able to tell you where you can get some from?
Good Luck in your quest :o)

Hi Wingnut,
I thought of Ebay and like you I couldn't find any. However I've phoned the local Farm Foods and YES they have some now!
So if anyone wants some get your shopping trolley down to Farm Foods. If you've never tasted this mayo and are wondering what all the fuss is about - please try it, it's the nicest creamies mayo around. Not as heavy as Hellmans. Second choice goes to Morrisons own brand, that's really good too :-)

Hi Food Fairy - I have been looking for Heinz Mayonnaise for years now - you can only buy sachet's at Mackro food stores & you can buy individual sachet's from a chain of bakery's called Ainsleys - but they charge 10p a sachet!!
I found an alternative that tastes almost as good & it's Kraft Mayo in a blue jar (NOT MIRACLE WHIP) It's just as lovely but now I can't get that anywhere!! - if you see the kraft one don't get the miracle whip it's not the same it should just say Kraft Mayo on the jar. Morrison's did stock it but not for a while now!
You have mentioned morrison's own brand is rather nice is that the full fat one or the ligter option?

Hi Hinchliffe,
I can confirm that Farm Foods do sell it, 1 a jar. Been there, bought it, ate it too fast ;-)
Re the morrisons mayo, the light is every bit as nice as the full fat, and excellent value too.
I use it as a base for spicy dressings too by adding piri piri, garlic, garlic pepper, a blob of BBQ sauce and a little milk to thin it.
It makes a lovely dippy type dressing.
Talking of morrisons, I've just got hooked on their sweet and sour noodles from their pick and mix salad bar, another yummy treat :-)
Love

Just went into Farmfoods (freezer foods shop) for an emergency loaf of bread . . . & was STUNNED to see a squeezy bottle of "Heinz Top Down Mayonnaise" (420G)! So it IS still available! :-)
This was on 3 Nov 2015 - and was only 2 weeks after I had realised that I hadn't seen this brand of mayo for AGES, so had Googled the product only to find that lots of other people had found & commented upon the lack of this brand on supermarket shelves.
This find at Farm Foods was lucky, as I wasn't looking! for mayo on that day; & in fact I had altogether stopped bothering to look for the Heinz brand of mayo anywhere, as I hadn't seen it on any supermarket shelves for ages.
BTW, the actual shop where I found the Heinz mayo was in the north east (in Wrekenton, in Gateshead, near Newcastle). But it may well be stocked in other UK stores of this freezer food supermarket. Sadly, Farmfoods don't bother putting their stock on their website (www.farmfoods.co.uk), as the turnaround for their stock is very fast & ever-changing; so you can't check on stock levels :-( But if you have a look for a store local to you (www.farmfoods.co.uk/index.php?p=storeFinder) you might be lucky & find this item!
