my favourite is what i call atriple decker.
uses 3 slices of bread,
eg: slice of buttered bread, topped withprawn mayonaise then another slice of buttered bread, then something like cheese, lettuce tomato and cucumber, then topped with last piece of bread. cut into triangles and possibly held together with cocktail sticks!
i know it's like having 2 sandwiches, which i can never manage to eat, but when i do it this way i don't seem to have a problem!!!!
advocado and bacon on granary
roast beef monster munch and marmite on brown
peanut butter and cheese
marmite and egg
chicken advocado and salad
ham and emmental (got to be ham off bone)
pate
prawns and rocket with lemon mayo
egg mayo
sands2 in bournemouth - roast beef and red onion chutney on thick chunky white bread - it is by far and away the best sandwich I have ever tasted.
and of course that ties at the number one spot with chip butties/potato sandwiches!(with cheese, plenty of butter and thick white bread - mmmmm - now I'm hungry!)
