I have an old Hoosier Cabinet that I'm refinishing. It was made in the early 1900's. On the inside of one door, it has a shopping list - a reminder list of things you may need next time you shop. One of the items is "coffee, melagama". Does anyone know what Melagama is? Thanks, Turnstone

Melagama is in Sri Lanka, and as Ceylon coffee was popular 'til the turn of the 19thC, - all but wiped out by a coffee fungus, or blight, and so replaced with tea which is more well known now - I'd guess its a note to get this roast and not another.

Thank you nickmo. That explains why all I could find on the internet was addresses when I thought it was some kind of product. Thanks for your help.
