1970's ice lolly - K - does anyone remember it?
17 Answers
Banana flavoured ice cream with a stick of toffee inside.
Did I dream it? I can't find any reference to it and nobody I speak to can remember it.
I think it was Lyons Maid, but not positive about that.

Hi Ethel
I remember a long banana ice lolly, very bananarish flavour, but don't recall toffee in the middle - but that's not to say there wasn't one........
So many products that are retailed in certain areas and not others....ones that are sold north of the border and others only in the south.

It was called Wall's Wiz! Leslie Crowther advertised the launch and there was a magic trick on the wrapper. They were so tasty! Picture on link below.

Hi blounty & unclenickers, I remember this "Big K" lolly very well as it was a big favourite of mine as a child. I think it was introduced in 1969 and was taken out in the mid 70s. I am pretty certain the 2 flavours were banana and raspberry (not strawberry) and it was indeed Midland Counties as I recall. The flavours were identical to the old Crusha liquid milk shake banana and raspberry flavours (which had a major recipe alteration for the worse about 7 years ago). I used to add milk to the liquid and freeze it, but could never get the softness of the original 70s ice lol. My favourite lolly of all time these 2.
