trying to eat well
4 Answers
right ok i am a reasonable fit and very slim male of 23 years old. I dont by any means eat junk food all the time and live at home so get good home cooked meals from mum!
But i do tend to comfort eat a lot. the main things are like say four white choc chip cookies in one siting, or a packet of party rings just examples. i mainly eat these things to make me feel better if im feelings low but then tend to feel bad as to what eating too much of these things will do to me.
Is this comfort eating very bad for me in the long term? i only do it maybe one day each week when need comforting.

Could be a sugar craving, going by what you are actually eating. Comfort eating can vary quite often as to the food that you eat, when bingeing.
Quite often people who eat mainly savoury foods need a 'sugar rush' so this could be your s r.
As to whether or not it is bad for u in the long term, really depends on how often this happens, is it only once a week? You have to be honest (to yourself) about it.
Some people consume your amount of 'comfort eating' nightly, so this is a serious problem in the long run.
Try to curb eating biscuits say, and eat something you enjoy but "good" for you i.e nuts and raisins (sorry thats one of my favs!)/
Good luck
