Magners is manufactured by the C&C group. This is from their website:
" As the Group does not own the Bulmers brand name outside Ireland, it launched Magners in 1999, principally in Northern Ireland and the United States. Magners is the
international equivalent of Bulmers and has been positioned similarly with respect to the brand's core values. Magners has been particularly successful in Northern Ireland where it has succeeded in developing a premium position. In the USA, the Group has been successful where it has focused its efforts, typically on the Eastern seaboard where there is a large Irish community. The brand is available selectively in Continental Europe and Great Britain. A test market was conducted in Glasgow in 2003 followed by a roll out across the rest of Scotland in 2004.":

The Magners website states that their product is available on draught, in 'long-neck' bottles, in pint bottles and in 500ml cans:

Chris
Funnily enough I first noticed in a pub I was in last night, then going past an off licence today I saw it advertised in the window.
I've known Magna's/Bulmers for a long time. Mainly from Ireland. I agree though, people have gone mad for it
I first came across it when I moved to Tenerife in 2001. It had been there for a while then apparently. Didn't really come across it back in UK until early this year.
apparently cider is making a big come back - sales are up 400% !!!
I personally cannot see what all the fuss is about.

Tried some last week after my son kept going on about it. I found it quite tasteless, and a bit flat. Pretty colour though.

I suppose it could grow on you after several bottles !!! :-)

BTW, bought mine in Morrisons, on offer 2.99 for a litre bottle
