We are having a debate in the office. Is caffeine part of the tea leaf, or is it added afterwards.

Following on from that, how do they make decaffeinated tea?

Would really appreciate some help as it is making our heads spin...

It's in the tea itself, hence ordinary tea contains caffeine, whereas decaffeinated tea has to go through a caffeine-extracting process. Not sure exactly how, though, suggest contacting the Tea Council.
