what about green tea?
got to be flavoured though as the ordinary one smells of ashtrays!
i get a selection pack from the supermarket, all individually wrapped and then I just bung 'em in my bag.
The pineapple one is lovely.
Have you tried japanese miso soup? It's not to everyone's liking, but I love it!
It's made of soya beans and has seaweed in it, so it's really good for you.
You can get it in sachets (which you add hot water to) in most supermarkets and oriental stores.
Another thing you could try is rooiboos tea (redbush tea), they sell it in Waitrose and health food shops. Has a woody taste to it.
In the winter I drink Ribena or vimto or orange squash with hot water, I also drink a lot of hot water with a slice of lemon in it.
Have you tried Earl Grey tea?
Another thing I drink in the winter is Boullion, it's a stock drink, and I prefer it to cup a soup's because it is lighter, has next to no cals and is suitable for veggies too!
i always go on about how good nettle tea is for you but you do need a fair blob of honey to make it drinkable. i sometimes buy really concentrated apple juice (like the ribena suggestion above) and add hot water to it - it's not as sweet but it is all natural. i get an organic one from a health food shop. most of the time in work though, i just drink hot water - no caffeine and great for the skin. if you can wean yourself off thinking you have to have something in your hot water all of the time then you get used to it. i sound like i need more excitement in my life now. i do like a nice hot chocolate with marshmallow fluff on top (selfridges food hall).
I would have recommended a nice hot Bovril but now Bovril is a yeast based product like Marmite, rather than its previous nice beefy formula. However, you can still use a small teaspoonful of it dissolved in boiling water to make a warming satisfying drink. Alternatively a dissolved Beef or Chicken OXO cube might make another similar drink.
