good morning chinadoll . sugar is refined honey is natural and better for a healthy diet you could try honey in porridge or simlpy have it with hot water what about poured over ice cream or over waffles mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Now, now crete...if chinadoll pours honey on waffles, I don't think that will help her with a healthy lifestyle!!

Go for honey, chinadoll - but in moderation...

everything in moderation fresh fruit with a drizzle of clear honey yummy and not too many calories
Actually, on an equal weight basis, there is very little nutritional difference between honey and sugar. Because it weighs more, a teaspoon of honey contains slightly more carbohydrate and calories than a teaspoon of sugar...
I make smoothies & add a spoonful of honey to the morning one. A tablespoon of honey 1/2 teaspoon of cinamon mixed in a little hot water is an excellent "old wives" remedy for achey joints. I can vouch for the fact it works.
rule of thumb is to stick as far as possible to unrefined, unprocessed foods. apart from that, honey has antibacterial and antiviral properties, and if you regularly eat a honey from a local producer (eg a farm), it is supposed to ease hayfever symptoms, as you are getting a small dose of local pollens all year round, much like a vaccination. it is also supposed to help with coldsores and many, many other health problems.
