Does anyone know what chum is - and can you feed it to anyone other than the dog?

Chum is the cheapest salmon that swims in the sea or the salmon farm. It's widely used in catering as the thinnest fillets of salmon fish for kebabs and the like. If you mean Chum the dog food brand, the ingredients should be on the side of the tin and I wouldn't feed it to anyone other than a dog.
I believe that it's also fish guts and blood which is flung overboard to attract predatory fish (esp. sharks) when sport fishing.
