If you're cutting down on carbs do not cut down on fat, whatever you do! The two do not go together, which was why so many people tried and failed when going low carb, they were so 'low fat ingrained' they couldn't get used to having mayo and butter!
That may sound outrageous but it works and does no harm for short bursts of a month or so. Enjoy any meat, fish, cheese and egg dishes, leave fat/skin on if possible, have with any accompanyment you like just so long as it doesn't contain flour or starch, so leave bread, pasta, rice and spuds out and be careful of packet sauces/gravies as they all contain flour.
Go to Holland and Barrett and get yourself the slimming world scanbran crispbread things, they're a great source of fibre and you can have them when you want something resembling a sandwich.
