I love to have an apple a day, i always buy Braeburns, but I am disappointed in the ones i have been buying from my supermarket, they just seem flavourless and really powdery. I like a nice crisp juicy apple - any recommendations ? I dont like granny smiths though.

I love Russets, but cant find any yet RoughquestThey should be in the shops next month until xmas. they taste crisp and sweet.(:o)
Between seasons for Braeburns at the moment unfortunately - you can get them but they've been stored too long.

Worcesters should be OK at the moment (but won't keep) and Coxes should be along shortly.

Falstaffs are good but you'll need a farm shop in a growing area rather than a supermarket - I've got a treeload (and I do mean load) of them at the moment.
The crispies, juciest apple I ever had was a Spartan, don't know where you'd get them though, sorry

Cripps pink
It's autumn, I'm going for english apples now. I like the good old Cox.

My current favourite is Pink Lady
Avoid Golden Delicious (most of which come from France) are never golden or delicious - unless they are like ones from South Africa which are large, really look golden and are crisp and sweet.
You get what you pay for.
