Chicken or Steak?

What is "Chicken Fried Steak" and how is it prepared and served?

It's from my neck of the woods - the American south. basically, thin filets of steak dipped in egg for binding, breaded (breadcrumb, spices like paprika or at least salt and pepper) and fried. Usually served with onion gravy, mashed potato, and buttermilk biscuits (i.e. yummy bread rolls, not "cookies")
