Has anyone else heard about the closure of this branch and can they verify it or have I received an email hoax about it? I'm hoping someone already knows what I mean without going into it.

I understand that this establishment has closed because of (as McDonalds says) a lack of customers and not (as has been reported) because of food poisoning outbreaks.
Is this what your cryptic question is about ?

@Einstein (sorry for this brief hijack!): Maccy D's are closing branches all over the world due to falling profits globally. Sadly they've got their fingers in many other pies that aren't necessarily "common-knowledg". Can't think of any examples right now but they've got stakes in/own outright a few "alternative" comestables retailers. Still, they've still got falling profits! (Really shouldn't be gloating like this, but seeing as my local branch has discontinued quarter-pounders I'm finding myself more drawn to the evil-empire arguements against them. You can have your thread back now. Sorry about that.
I know that this has little to do with the actual question. But there was a book out recently 'Fast Food Nation'. it contained the truth about what's in MacDonalds meals, I was wondering whether the publishing of this book has caused the recent financial troubles for MacDonalds.....it certainly put me off. But back to the question, MacDonalds are suffering badly everywhere at the moment.
