If you make it yourself and keep it in the fridge. I would guess at least a week to a fortnight. Either that or you accept the date on the packet; and there's no reason why you can't extend the date by a few days. Manufacturers have to safeguard themselves with a use-by date. I'm not too bothered and am quite prepared to go a week beyond if kept in the fridge. Vegetable items shouldn't cause too much of a problem on time factors; it's those with a meat or fish content which need more consideration.
