During manufacture;- mash tun, pot still, washback.
After;- barrel, bottle, decanter, glass.
Finally;- Strozzi's stomach.
A Quaich - A wide and shallow, double-handled cup, traditionally used in the Highlands for drinking whisky. The two handles made it easier to pass round at large gatherings.

Cetti, does a quaich have two handles in case the whisky makes your hands quake? :-)
No - I quaich after the whisky,Gef :-))
What a load of rubbish....as anyone will tell you any teuchter will never share his whiskey with anyone let alone large gatherings. :>)
I know that sft lives in Ireland but in Scotland the correct spelling is "whisky" - without the "e".
Never make assumptions Gef. I am now residing in sunny Glasgow and while I take your point that Scotch is indeed spelt without the "e" both spellings are correct.......I was tired that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Welcome back sft! You're welcome to your excuse but not to my whisk(e)y should we ever meet ;-)
Gef is right, sft42 - the dictionary does state that the spelling variation is not to do with whether it's Scotch or not - with an e is the US and Irish spelling, without an e is the UK spelling. In practice this means that Scotch is spelt without an e, but so too is Welsh whisky.
Apparently Lancashire once had a booming whisky industry - sorry no relevance to original question.
