What colour should pomegranite juice be?

Bought a waxed carton of pomegranite juice yesterday. It's the first time I've ever bought i this juice and on opening it a dark muddy brown liquid poured out which had a rather acrid taste. Is this normal? I had expected to see a light pink juice, a similar colour to the pips and wonder I had a faulty carton.

I'd have expected it to be more like cranberry juice colour...not bitter at all ... take it back, get a refund
hi wendy,

it's not unusual for the juice being that colour. the kind i buy looks like black grape juice and does have a 'tongue-tied' after taste. what's the expiration date?

cheers
Sounds like it has started oxidising. It should be a rich, dark raspberry colour.
