Has anyone tried the dried sundried tomatoes, I saw them recently in Tescos and wondered if they were any good, I think you just have to infuse them in warm water for a while.

Thanks,

I tried them and thought they were lovely. As you say, just infuse them in warm water and then chop them up. I use them (as well as dried mushrooms and peppers) in a risotto - quite an intense flavour, so you don't need many !
they are awful

had severe pains in my stomach after ewwwwwwwww wouldnt eat them again
prefer the ones in oil, much better flavour and not like eating leather either
i just chop them and add them to a spag bog sauce ,casserole etc etc for a really intense tomato flavour -no need to soak and you only need a couple of them so a packet lasts for ages

Made red pesto with them last night and it was gorgeous, guess its just a question of taste.
