Red Wine, use by dates?

How long can you safely keep an opened bottle of Red Wine?
On one bottle it says use within 3 days of opening, another 2 days and on some others it doesn`t state any time limits.

If you open one, then realise you can't finish it within the next day or two, pour it into an ice cube tray, freeze it and then use for casseroles.
