'The Blue Pigeons' was run in ? the 1940's by some long-deceased friends. Anyone know its whereabouts? And how about other silly pub names???

Theres a frog and nightgown on the Old Kent Road, well there was when I was a kid.
"The Tap and Tumbler" was a regular haunt in Notts.
And opposite the 'Frog and Nightgown' on the Old Kent Road is 'The World Turned Upside Down'. I've seen a few 'The Case is Altered' as well (used to be a good one near Leamington with an old bar billards table that only took sixpences), but don't know where the name comes from.
The Honest Lawyer.. Grimsby. The Dog in a Doublet nr Peterborough. The Moderation, Reading. Imagine drinking in Moderation :-)
I used to go in the 'Swinging Sporran' in Northampton. And in Reading there's the 'Purple Turtle'.
And there was the 'Newt and Cucumber' in Northampton Town Centre, they did excellent food. Not there anymore though.
There is an "Athletic Arms" opposite an grave yard in Edinburgh (known localy as The Diggers) and there used to be a "Ferret and Trouserleg" but I think it's closed now but my favourites are the Firkin chain if only because of the bar staffs T shirts "I'm a Firkin Barsteward".

Adding to my own question, here! There's a pub in Dulwich Village (South London) called The Crown & Greyhound but it was always known as "The Dog & Vomit" by all & sundry.
The Stumble Inn!
The Frog and Radiator, Greenwich, at least I think it was a frog, definitely a radiator. Or the Elephant and Wheelbarrow, Brisbane, Oz.
