It is tiny sausages wrapped in dough of some kind and cooked. A lot of times it is 'Lil Smokies wrapped in canned crescent rolls and baked.

I always presumed they were as sunflower described them- little sausages wrapped in bacon. But disagree with her on one thing- they yummy!

It would appear that it can be both versions- sausages wrapped in either bacon or pastry.
