What do you prefer to eat: Chinese food, or Indian?

For me, it has to be Chinese. It fills you up, and you don't feel bloated or over-indulged; like you usually do with Indian. Also, some Indian food is simply too hot for my liking.

Also, what do you order when visit either of the aforementioned takeaways/restaurants?

Indian and always go for Chicken Danshak extra sweet
chinese for me ..idian alwasy has to much meat for my liking and not enough sauce.
My other half prefers indian though.
Chinese as i hate spicey foods. I order chips (how original) chicken fried rice and barbecue spare ribs with barbecue sauce mmm im hungry now!
chinese cause i'm chinese its better than indian
It depends on my mood and appetite!
Orange chicken or chicken chasni and peshwari naan.
mmmmmmmm!
I love both but when I eat some Chinese food I get a rash on my hands and they swell up a bit then I'm ill the next day. Also makes me very thirsty. I limited Chinese food!!!

Indian food fabulous too always a nice selection of veggie stuff. Doesn't it always smell georgeous too and instantly makes you hungry when you smell it.

:o)
Indian every time.
I have to be in a very particular mood for Chinese so only have it once or twice a year.

On the curry front I always have tarka dall, sag bhaji, bindi bhaji, prawn methi, chicken dhansak, poppadoms and a naan. But I always make the rice myself. I'm a bit paranoid about takeaway rice.
Athley is sounds like you have an allergy to MSG which is in a lot of Chinese foods.
Yes I did wonder about that drchasuble. My family got quite worried last time I had tofu in a black bean sauce - my hands looked like red balloons. Doesn't happen when I make my own sauces at home (and no MSG in those).

Probably best I stick with the Indian food.

:o)
Here's a useful website where it lists products containing MSG. Some are quite surprising.

Chinese without a doubt - really not keen on takeaway Indian food at all.

Sweet and Sour chicken
Special Fried Rice
Chicken Chow Mein
Roast Pork with Mushrooms in BBQ sauce

Mmmmm...I'm so hungry!
Sorry FrancisB to hijack.

But thanks for the list drchasuble. Its odd because I actually don't like the majority of things on the list could be because of the MSG I do eat textured protein and feel ill afterwards. Now I know why!!!

Thats okay - as long as I can help in any way, its fine.

When I order Chinese, I order:

Won Ton Soup
Hot and Sour soup
Chicken and Mixed vegetables with rice
Sweet and Sour pork with rice
Singapore Fried Rice noodles

Chinese food is sooooooo delicious....
Chinese for sure... my SIL is chinese and makes some wonderful dishes - not like the type you get in a takeaway (they are made for the European tastes only and very rarely would you get a chinese person actually eating that). If you get the opportunity, go to a proper chinese restaurant where the chinese themselves eat. There is a fabulous one not far from the London Dome, its actually inside a hotel (can't remember the name of it though sorry). They have stuff like 'DimSum' (think i've spelt it right), fantastic dishes ! Give it a try if you ever get the chance, you'll never feel the same about a Chinese Takeaway in the High Street again.
