Meringue nests - fillings?!

I bought some of these at the supermarket, ready made, thinking 'ah what an ideal cheat for my dinner party this week'. However... I have no idea what to do with them! I have searched the internet but all I can find is recipes to make the nests - not what to put in them.

Now as you may have guessed from my cheating so far, I am not the best cook in the world but if anyone has any quick and simple ideas or recipes of what to do with these nests please help me!

Hi Chloe - They can be filled with pudding, custard, ice cream or fresh fruit. Or try spreading the meringue with melted chocolate and pile with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

just a tip whatever filling you decide on don't prepare them too far in advance or they will go soggy and not very nice.

I'm no cook but what about filling them with fruit such as strawberries, mandarins and kiwi fruit with whipped cream and decorated with grated chocolate. Not exactly cordon bleu but tasty, easy and they give you more time to concentrate on the other courses. Hope your dinner party goes well, enjoy!

juice of 3 lemons, 1/2 pint double cream, 3/4 tin condensed milk, whisk untill soft & creamy, pile onto meringue. good luck.

Well I did strawberries and whipped cream decorate with grapes and they were delicious! Thanks everyone, it went well.

I will try the one with condensed milk nest time - they sound yummy!
