is it true theres a maximum number of eggs you should limit yourself to a week for health reasons? and what is it? xx

It used to be 3 eggs per week and I think it was to do with high cholesterol.
But most people now eat more with no seemingly side effects.
Me I hate the things!

I would have egg with every dish, and garlic..
I guess I just like to be smelly. :)

However in answer to your question, I never knew that.
Also never heard that it was unhealthy to eat too many.. if it was why would they sell them in doeses of six?

I remember hearing that this was either a myth, or outdated thinking.

Obviously so long as you dont go mad you can eat more than 3 a week!
My friend works for weight watchers, she is a food knowledge guru, I was moaning that i'd had my egg quota for the week by Wednesday she laughed at me, it has been proved it dosn't matter how many you eat, so long as your relativley healthy...
If you eat a high animal fat and dairy diet there's a risk you'll have a problem with cholestrol later on in life. They used to say an egg was a little cholestrol bomb! Now, they've found out that by eating certain foods with Omega 3 (and other foods) these can lower or counter balance the 'bad' cholestrol. Just eat a well-balanced diet and you can't go far wrong.
I read somewhere that they were thinking of selling them in 7's instead of 6. One a day for the benefits...

I was told that the longer eggs are in the fridge the higher the cholesterol level
