buying saucepans
2 Answers
I have done a bit of research about what to consider when buying new saucepans. I then took a trip to debenhams and saw these ones.

Has anyone used these or have any opinions on them?
Thanks.

There are various French-produced saucepans available at specialised cook shops which are great - Sitram is a good brand - I love mine. They cook beautifully and nothing sticks or burns (even though they are not "non-stick", if you see what I mean).
Hi, I have a bit of a saucepan fetish, I cook a lot and have a large family although only two at home now. I would recommend that you go for the best stainless steel that you can afford and they will last a lifetime, not neccesarily one with a name. I have a few by Stellar, they are heavy, the lids fit well and they are indistructable. Even with burnt on food (by my son not me) a short soak and the food comes off easily. If you have a TKMaxx near you they often have very good pans a lot cheaper although you might have to wait to get the ones you want. I would recommend not buying a set but think about what sizes you use most often and what you use them for. Saves having ones you never use taking up cupboard space. Hope this helps and happy shopping!!
