Did anyone see the programme last night , where they showed the slaughter of three cows ? ( from stun gun , to on the plate )
Won't make me go veggie , but will appreciate my meat a bit more .
Any comments ?

I was just about to post a question about this. I saw bits of it. I hated seeing the cow being led in to slaughter. I'm a meat eater, and admit to trying not to think about the whole process, and in a way prefer the way I can just pick up a packaged joint of meat in a shop and not have to give much thought to where it's come from.

However I know that's what they're trying to get at - they want us to understand where the meat we eat has come from. I do think it's important, and hope it gets people to respect what we're eating.
I watched the lamb one. It was sad really seeing those angelic lambs being led to the slaughter.
But, funny enough, it has not made me want to go vegetarian.
Funny girl, what would do it ? Go on Utube and find the Slaughter house cruelties,if that don't do it,nothing will.
Missed the cow programme but saw the lamb one last night. Now I would hope that all slaughter houses work to the same standards but I just found the whole set up artificial.

Who is that male presenter who looks like he has a bad smell under his noise?

Why don't they do a similar series for vegetables?

Anyway, looking forward to the pigs programme tonight to see how they manage to turn it into cured bacon and ham in 5 minutes.
