Can anybody suggest a beer that gives the least hangover. I get really bad hangovers with Kronenbourg and Bud but less severe ones with Fosters or Stella. Does anybody else find that, and are there any other beers that give even smaller hangovers?

i find that Becks interferes with my well-being more than most, and can drink Stella with no after-effects. must be to do with the chemicals used in the brewing rather than the alcohol strength. Drinking real ales will probably see you alright.

The problem with real ales is that I love them too much and drink them much faster. When you're on your fifteenth pint you become aware you're going to be ill at work tomorrow! Lager is what I drink to try to moderate the quantity.
Further to my tuppenceworth earlier, I have just conducted a straw poll of three people who sit near me, and all agree that Becks = sorer heid compared to other beers.

Sticking to spirits was suggested by two of them as a way to avoid hangovers, but I don't agree with this.

now as far as i know, the hangover is not entirely down to the alcohol content, but also other stuff, the purer / better quality your beer / wine, the less hangover, very unfortunate when it comes to wine as the best can be very very expensive, but on my birthday i get to drink stupid price italian red wine, get utterley plastered, and avoid a hangover. i think its fair to say that becks is inferior to stella, but ive never met a beer that didnt give me a hangover yet. :-D
If your lucky enough to live in Ireland then drink Guinness....If not don't cause it's pi55 in comparison....other than that try Tennents?
Barbican
tennents extra, no hangover in that you'll never sober up.

Well Guinness is my favourite drink but the problem with it is the same as the real ale one, I drink so much of it that a hangover is guaranteed. Tennents is a drink I've not had in years but I don't remember it giving me hangovers so I'll try that with an Italian red-wine chaser. Cheers everyone!
Try 'Special Brew' - you won't drink much of it coz it's vile, so you won't get a hangover!!
No hangover with Rolling Rock - because it doesn't have the added ingredients, stabilisers, what-have-you, that give you the hangover in the first place.
try a real ale in a bottle. Black sheep ale and its other related beers such as Rigwelter and a special ale that tesco supply, called premium i think, will allow you to drink to your hearts delight without pain but if it is lager you want then, as someone else suggested, drink rolling rock. its about the only true lager in a bottle. and thats from one who dislikes the stuff but will drink RR !
Kaliber? Ha ha ha! (Yes, I know that's really awful- I don't drink beer)!
go to superdrug hangover pills 2.50 take one between each drink ?ah no i aint tried um yet . but my mate swears by them
