when exactly , did bread stop going stale and start going mouldy, seemingly without ever going stale at all .. ever!? the swines ..

Support a local baker if you have one !
I buy a couple granary loaves from my baker on a Monday and it's still edible by Friday ..a bit stale but perfectly alright for toast and not a sign of mould. It could be to do with where you keep your bread .I keep mine in an old enamel bread crock which must be well over fifty years old and belonged to my late mother.Never had...
