have you tried local asian supermarkets? there's one on brick lane which sells kaffir leaves, unsure of the name but towards the bethnal green road end rather than the whitechapel end.

I have bought some a few years ago from a shop in Finchley. The shop is still there but I haven't been recently. They sell just about any type of ingredient for indian/chinese/thai/bengali/pakistani recipes and can't imagine them no longer stocking them.
I have bought them in Waitrose and sainsburys. If you live in Chelsea, try the Bluebird supermarket in the Kings road, where the old ambulance station was, or Harvey Knicks food hall

Brillinat - work v near brick lane and live near Chelsea - thanks guys!
Sainsburys and Tescos stock them at various branches. They are genereally supplied by 'Barts Spices' and these tend to be in the same place but seperate from the other herbs and spices. Its a larger than normal jar so should be fairly easy to spot
