we are taking our autistic son on holiday and was wondering if we would be able to pack in the suitcases some of his favourite foods, as his diet is very, very restricted!!!

It probably depends on what food you are planning on packing and how you are travelling.
I think you can. I have done it with no problems.
completely not answering your question, but my friend has a 5 yr old autistic daughter, and she is VERY limited in her diet. Do you persist with autistic children who wont eat healthy food in the same way you would with non-autistic children or do you let them live on a diet of spaghetti hoops, tomato sauce, yogurt and cheerios (not all at once, lol) thanks :-)
If you are driving - there's no worries.

It all depends on the foods and where you are going if you are travelling by plane.

Also do you mean taking a meal on board a plane for example as there are restrictions with this.

A bit more info and we'll be able to help a bit more.
