how do you make mash? i know how to do it, i was just wondering what touches people add. i have a friend who adds sugar and rosemary. i like to crack an egg into mine before i mix it up. my flatmate puts a tub of dominos garlic and herb dip in his. any other favourites?
What you talking about, fools? To make some terrifically tasty mashed taters simply season with salt and pepper, then add a tub of creme fraiche! You'll never go back...
I agree, if your mash needs embellishing you probably need to work at it a bit. Using enough salt & butter seems to be vital.
The quality of the butter's the only thing that changes with my mash. Sometimes i add lots of chives. Always lots of pepper too.
