I like rose wine, but the last couple of bottles I bought have been awful. Like drinking vinegar. Yuk I like my wine sweetish and not very very dry. Can you recommend a good rose for me. Cheers

ernest & julio gallo, white grenache, could be a good one for you. it's a little sweet for my taste, but a couple of my friends won't drink anything else.
it says - 'light-bodied, fresh cherry and raspberry flavours together with floral notes and delicate spicy hints'.
although it's called 'white grenache' it is actually rose.
Personally I don't like it but my mum does and she likes Ernest & Julio Gallo rose.I think it may be called White Zinfandel even though it's pink!
Ha! great minds ethandron!
ha! ha! great minds indeed.
Not very fashionable I know, but I don't think you can beat Mateaus Rose for rose wine.
Hello Funnygirl,

Echo Falls Rose is a really nice sweetish wine. My daughter is a big fan and like yourself doesn't like wine that is too tart so this is excellent.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for all your answers, I now have bottles of the white grenache cooling. (Are we supposed to cool rose??)

And Dollychris yours is next. I aim to try them all.
maybe we should have a wine rating chart!!
Cheers
Hic!
sooo... funnygirl, did you like the wine?

It is absolutely delicious.
It tastes very blackcurranty to me, but I love it.
I am on my second bottle then it's all gone.
But I am going to try the Echo Falls Rose.
I give this white grenache 9 out of 10.
Forgot to mention another Rose that is lovely - that is Sutter Home and again is light and fruity with none of the acidity. Maybe the 3rd and final one to try out?
Hope you enjoy them all!
xx
