Try a fantastic book called "Eat More, Weigh Less" by Dean Ornish.
He's a real doctor, who originated the diet for cardiac patients.
He was so successful with his regimen that he was able to REVERSE heart disease. The results are such that some of the major insurance companies fund the treatments.
The diet then spread to the larger community and a couple more books resulted, incl. Eat More,....

The recipes therein are created by the best professional chefs, and are extremely satisfying and good. Except for the zucchini pancakes (pleh). And you really can eat more.
