Haggis is delicious, so why do the English and Americans not like it? OK, so it's made from offal and oatmeal cooked in a sheep's stomach, but so what? Caviar is just fish eggs when you think about it, and honey is insect vomit, yet these are regarded as delicacies.

I'm English and I too like haggis. I agree that people seem to be too scared at the thought of eating some things which are perfectly natural. There is too much stigma attached to some foods!

Hey listen, sorry if I seemed to be generalising. I don't want to cause offence. I'm sure there's many English and American people who love haggis (not to mention a few traitorous renegade Scots - joking! - who hate it). The things is though, that it hasn't taken off in America the way (Italian) pizza has, or (German) burgers / hot dogs, or (Jewish) bagels, or Chinese or Indian meals. In other words, it hasn't found a mass popular urban market. Maybe if there had been more Scottish emigrants to New York, it might have been different. Just a thought.
