Could I use Splenda or Candarel or some equivalent as a substitute for sugar. My slimming world weigh in beckons!!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.You can BUT put less in than the recipe calls for, if you put in like for like it will be sickly sweet. You will probably need to experiment a bit but a starting guide would be to reduce the amount by about a quarter and may even need to halve it depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. Also, don't use splenda/canderal in everything instead of sugar as too much artificial sweetener can have a laxative effect.
