Drambuie, the Scottish liqueur, sounds the most likely answer, but it could conceivably be Atholl (or Athole) brose, which also contains oatmeal etc. The latter is usually just served as a dessert immediately it's prepared rather than being left to ferment, though it might improve with age!
Don't forget Glayva.
