I drink lager and lime. The pricing rules on this seem to vary, sometimes I am charged for a pint plus extra for lime, sometimes I'm charged just for the pint. Obviously if lime is put in then I'm not getting a full pint, so be charged for a full pint then extra for the lime doesnt seem right to me. Does anyone know the law on this one?
its down to the pub, the one i work in doesn't charge for a dash in a pint but we do if its a short with a dash of whatever, but i've worked in pubs where there charge you extra for the dash but as your stating your not getting a full pint and the dash is hardly expensive stuff so they shouldn't really, sorry but all you can do is make a complaint to management and not drink there
But most glasses these days are over sized so that they will be able to fit in a pint plus the dash of lime. And when I've worked in pubs we've always charged for the dash of lime, so if you're getting it free sometimes then well done.
i get the same problem and i always moan - if you were having a pint of shandy they should charge you for a half of beer and a half of lemonade, but they usually charge for a full pint of beer - so on that basis they work out that the lemonade replaces the beer, so it should work out the same with cordial i use this explanation and always get my money back - its one of the many tricks that's used to maximise profit!
The biggest scam is 'A pint of Coke please barman'.
Ice and lemon ? No thank you very much, because if you say yes you get a pint glass full of ice with just enough cola to make it look slightly brown. 2.
Correct pink kitten - we went out on Monday night with friends, but I was driving so even though we went to a pub which has fantastic real and foreign ales I was reduced to drinking coke and grapefruit juice!
