If someone were to open a chain of McDonald's style Indian fast food restaurants serving popular dishes eg tikka wraps, tandoor kebabs et al, would it work ? Would u try it or would prefer going to a traditional Indian restaurant ?

How about a takeaway where you can choose things like roast potatoes, vegetables, chicken or beef, yorkshire puddings, and the gravy would come in a cup instead of sweet and sour sauce!
Or a takeaway that delivers really nice calorie counted nutritious food. Where you knew what the ingredients were!! There must be a market out there...

People generally don't want nutrition and health when eating out. Eating out is a treat so people generally want to stuff the diet and eat nice food for once! I remember Rosemary Conley saying she toyed with the idea of opening a chain of healthy diet restaurants, but she honestly thought nobody would come. It would have to be different to an Indian takeaway and I think the reason they are so popular is that the food is SO amazing. British impersonations- McDonalds tikka wrap type things are lame in comparison. They do try and do the "foods of the world" type things but it all just tastes like McDonalds. Indian food is exquisite- could you get the genuine spices etc and make the food taste really authentic?
Nobody does an Indian breakfast bar.
